paragon has developed a complete system for electromobility for use in passenger cars and commercial vehicles. This concept, which also includes a novel range extender, is a leader with respect to complexity and breadth of application.
A number of unique selling points characterize the “ExtRa15″ range extender. The highly integrated module has a low-vibration and quiet single-rotor Wankel engine as its primary drive. The extremely compact design facilitates optimal integration in the vehicle. Also new is the integration of the range extender in the climate control system so that it no longer limits the range of electric vehicles and solves a known problem in an intelligent manner.
In addition to modularity, highlights of the energy storage system include active balancing of the lithium batteries and automatic adjustment of the charging capacity for high ease of operation. In cooperation with the firm All4IP, paragon also offers a dynamic and visualized range analysis for a safe arrival. All components of the complete system, which will be available in 2012, display a technically sophisticated design, underscoring their quality and functionality.
